MARCH 25TH | Encouraging and Assessing Technology Integration
Leaders at all levels must take a systems perspective on technology and predict
the long-term ramifications of decisions. To keep on track, school leaders at
all levels need to look within their schools to identify gaps in their technology
needs related to the shared vision. Reaction plans should reflect current realities
but also continue to move forward, toward the long-term goal.
Essential Questions:
How are teachers, administrators, and staff prepared to apply 21st Century assessment systems to inform instruction and measure 21st Century knowledge, skills, performance, and dispositions?
From the Alamance/Burlington Technology Action Plan, Strategic Priority 4: 21st Century Leadership for All Schools and Districts.
Our Goals:
Consider the activities and information in these sessions and share them with your Learning Teams!

Encourage & Evaluate
Fostering growth in technology integration depends upon celebrating and scaling successful examples and constructively evaluating how and to what degree technology is leveraged in curriculum and instruction.
The Margerison-McCann Team Management Wheel describes eight different role preferences when working in a team.
- Advising- Gathering and reporting information
- Innovating- Creating and experimenting with ideas
- Promoting- Exploring and presenting opportunities
- Developing- Assessing and testing the applicability of new approaches
- Organizing- Establishing and implementing ways to make things work
- Producing- Concluding and delivering outputs
- Inspecting- Controlling and auditing the working of systems
- Maintaining- Upholding and safeguarding standards and processes
